      Nowadays the use of plastic is gaining more and more utilities. It is very commom to find its use in various areas, such as home appliances, electronics, electrical, medical, etc., and is widely used also in the automotive area, such as the glove box for example. 

      Through the plastic injection mould is produced the glove box, a closed compartment in the car used to store objetcs of primary necessity, such as documents, tools, compact discs, etc.

      In most cars, it closes with a latch, although some have a key. On some models, the glove box has on its inside an area to place  a glass when it's opened, as well as a pencil or pen. In some modern cars, one can regulate the temperature inside the glove box to be used as beverage cooler.

      Injection moulding provides a mass production, low cost and an efficient job as well and producing glove boxes with a low unit value.
